HybridSalon: an interdisciplinary performance experiment.
Curated by Amanda Dunne Acevedo & Lindsey Barlag Thornton
HybridSalon is an interdisciplinary evening of new artistic work produced by Amanda Dunne Acevedo and Lindsey Barlag Thornton. HybridSalon curators intentionally pair artists together in duos or groups, working across disciplines, to create new works in collaboration to be performed and/or showcased. We ask artists to consider experimentation, discovery, and collaboration in their individual practices and in-process with new collaborators. As Genesis, we facilitate these new collaborations as well as curate the presentation of these new works.
Since 2015 we have programmed 5 salons showcasing 31 collaborations with 62 artists across disciplines of performance, visual-art, theatre, film, dance, puppetry, music/sound, participatory art-making, and more!
